“And you thought fixing your car was expensive!”

Man, I don’t ever want to have my body break. Fixing a car’s
transmission was $1,600. I just got back from the dentist and they said
I’ll need a root canal to the tune of $1,800 (some of which will be
covered by insurance). Now I’d equate a transmission in a car to say
maybe the digestive system in the body, so if a tooth costs as much as
a trany, imagine the cost to fix something that really mattered!

But yeah I’ve got to go back to the dentist for a cleaning in a few
weeks and I need to schedule an appointment with a specialist to get my
root canaled out and filled in with rubber, then they’ll slap a crown
on it and call it king. "King Tooth! I like the sound of that!", sayeth
the molar, "I will rule with justice over my fellow teeth, and the land
of Mouth shall be peaceful once again."

I dunno if you remember (it happened towards the end of summer before our last year of school), but when Clint had the piece of steak caught in his esophagus (not his windpipe – different thing), it cost him a total of $2000+ just to have it removed NON-surgically!

Another thought… if a hole in my tooth costs $1,800 to fix, how much to patch up this one in my butt? LOL

Half the cost of a pair of shoes. Next time don’t skip your dental checkups! Dad
